This is my 2nd roll of expired Velvia 50 that I loaded into my LC-A+. Yet to find time to scan some samples from the first one which died a tragic death but here’s a 2nd roll. I am not sure if I did the right thing by loading it into the LC-A+ because the camera only supports ISO100 film and above. So loading the ISO50 film was a big risk and the shots might all turn out underexposed.
Luckily most of them turned out fine.
I was at the zoo the day before with Fitzand and while he was playing at the new playground … something caught my eye. There was this simple looking house just steps away from the playground … all painted white but has a very old look to it. Looking at the window, I saw a guy sitting there and thought perhaps it’s some security office, thus I ignored it.
Minutes later, I looked over again … the guy was still sitting there. He didn’t seem to move! OMG! Damn! I was curious! I walked a few steps closer and noticed the guy seemed a bit ‘strange’. He doesn’t move! Oh man! Creeping closer, I found out that the ‘guy’ is not real! Yeah! He’s like some fella from the wax museum, sitting there near the window with a typewriter! Whoa! This is creepy but cool! I decided to check out the house.
The first thing I noticed when I stepped in … and old lady on the left watching TV! Everything was really retro. The TV was something probably from the 60s and the old lady (from the back) looks so real too! I began to wonder who the hell would make such a spooky exhibit at the zoo … so close to the children playground? Must be some sicko!!!
There were a couple of other ‘tenants’ in the house … a lady doing laundry, a kid on the bed who seemed to be in pain (yeah, shit scary! he was saying/crying something in Mandarin … like ‘arrgghh! so itchy!’).
A few super-sized roaches and mozzies decorated the wall as well as some very retro stuffs like cupboards, bags & stuffs.
What almost left my heart stop beating was the darn kitchen. I saw a wok on the ‘stove’ and it had some stuff like fried fish (or some similar looking crap). Took a few steps close to take a pic of it and suddenly … SWOOOSH! CLANK! CHARRRRR!!! … pretty loud sound of recorded material which sounds like someone frying the food in the wok, as well as some red lights in the ‘stove’ came on (suppose to be burning charcoal). Dammit! That almost left my balls dropping and roll on the floor! Idiot!
Whoever designed this must be pretty sick! Imagine some kids loiter into this ‘exhibit’ and it will leave them with big time nightmares!!!
LOL… and u are that BIG kid that lost his balls…. but really creepy pic u got here
wa lao.. scary.. lol
This is part of the local zoo?? Looks creepy indeed!
But the wax figures and LOMO seem to go pretty well together! 🙂
freaking scary shot…it’s good!
oh my! where is this?! this is scary! but great work, though!!
there must be some sort of educational purpose to this creepy house. sounds very, very wierd though.
Ethermoon, these are found in a little house at the zoo beside the children playground.
Diesel, I think it’s for educational purpose but perhaps a little too scary for little kids. Haha!
