Now this is what I call WOW!

The first test roll on the Leica CM Zoom (which I traded for with another camera) was quite a disaster. It was a roll of ERA black & white film and strange enough, most of the shots seemed to have a ‘glow’ on them! I was dead worried that it might be a ‘feature’ or problem with the camera or lens, so I loaded a roll of color negative (Mitsubishi MX 200) and took some random shots for more tests.

Finally collected the negatives and upon scanning them … I was amazed! Not only the photos turned out pretty contrasty, I find some of the shots having a 3D like look to them. Oh well maybe I was imagining things but see for yourselves the results … nothing too ‘wow’ about composition and such (test shots … geddit?!) but these are direct from scans with only brightness adjustments for some of them. Now I guess this camera’s gonna be a permanent resident in my arsenal.

  1. Cin, told you that you should get the Leica rangefinder. Leica rocks! Btw, Mitsubishi film are for newbies like me who can’t do justice to good film, unlike pros like you 😛
