My first test roll on this good condition AD-1 that I picked up at a real bargain, as I tagged along a friend who was buying a pretty rare (expensive!) rangefinder from the same seller. As it’s a fully auto camera, it fits my lazy random shooting style, so I grabbed it and loaded a roll of long expired Solaris 200 film. Taken at the same time when I was testing my Holga WPC (and drinking stout) … I’m very satisfied with the camera as the metering seems to be working great and performance wise … it’s good! Love the fun of winding the ‘motor’ and hearing the pretty neat shutter sound which my other cameras don’t produce. 😀
I did actually have another test roll on another camera, the Synchro Druh … but the roll died the moment I opened up the back of the camera. Pretty strange that the paper backing of the 120 film peeled off and I was actually advancing and shooting on the paper backing! The negative itself has ‘detached’ itself and was stuck near the original spool! Damn!
