Right after we finished shooting the sunrise and since I had some time before rushing home to bring my family out for an outing, I decided to take some infrared photos using the recently modified Canon G6. It wasn’t that sunny yet and I had to endure slightly long exposures … but luckily my tripod was with me.
I’ve mentioned that I usually prefer black & white infrared photos before but this time I decided to leave it with some colors with the usual ‘standard’ infrared post-processing method of channel mixing. Again I forgot to do a custom white balance and was using the white balance I did on that other morning when I was testing the freshly modified camera.
It wasn’t until after dinner that I realised that I had took one too many photos with the IR cam. Hahaha. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been so trigger happy with a digital camera!
Wonderful IR shots You have chosen a perfect location. Great camera!
@Doublechin : IR Master, thank you for the compliment.
IR very cool!!!!!
where did you get that IR filter ? can use on G10 ?
@norya : Yeah. You can go try IR on Jim’s DSLR 😉
@ahnah : It is availble from most camera shops. Just ask for Hoya R72 filter. You want to use it in front of the G10? I am sure it can work fine.
