I remember trying this a long time ago, using my Lensbaby 2.0 on my Canon SLR but the result was horrible. I can hardly remember what kind of mess I ended up with but that’s history. Since I found an old original Lensbaby, I loaded my Nikon EM with a roll of Kodak BW400CN and also a roll of DIY redscale film to test out the combo. This time, I did remember to adjust the ISO on the camera to compensate when shooting redscale.
Okay, forget about the roll of redscale for now, as I need to find time to scan it later on. Here are some shots from the roll of black & white. I am indeed very very happy with the results … not that the shots are of any good but at least I know the EM meters pretty well and the pain of trying to focus using the matt screen (since the split screen focus is only in the middle) with my old eyes works pretty okay. Also, I love the fuzzy look that the Original Lensbaby produces.
I love the Lensbaby! This is the first time I am using an Original Lensbaby. Gave away my Lensbaby 2.0 to a friend and I’m using a Lensbaby 3G for my DSLR. Can’t wait for the Composer to start shipping!
WOR! You’re very experimental! Love the shots of the “tiger”. 😀
OK, you just Inspired me to use my LB. 😛
Very nice. Classic example of ‘shoot them in their eyes’! That cat looks like it’s going to leap out of my computer screen. So real … lol.
