Okay, so not really double the fun for this test roll but at least I got to know the features limitations of this little cute Golden Half camera. Loaded it with a roll of 400 film that came with it, I did most of the test shots using a Lomo Colorsplash attached to it. Since it’s a half frame, I was able to get double the number of photos from that 24 exposure roll. Here are the few photos which I think survived. Not sure if it’s the film but the indoor shots seemed very grainy.
The Golden Half has a fixed shutter speed of 1/100 and three differerent aperture settings. No focusing is required which makes it pretty fun (and Lomo-ish) to play with. Size wise, it’s really small and cute. Here’s a photo of it beside a roll of normal 35mm film for comparison.
I remember seeing this in supermarkets in Japan but didn’t buy them there as they were pretty costly. Recently the local online store 8storeytree (see link on the left of this page) brought them in so that we can enjoy this little toy locally at a better price.
ahaha. thanks droo! great shots btw. 😀
ps. u should see the ‘life as a goldenhalf’ book. 😀
