After a long exciting wait … finally the Colette special edition camera that I won in the contest arrived today. I was  expecting it to arrive in March but hey … I was shocked when the DHL man came with a parcel from Lomography Asia today! Maybe I am the first to actually receive this personalized Diana F+ camera, since they shipped it from the Asia office (perhaps fresh from the ovens in China!) and the rest of the winners seems to be from the other side of the world. Haha!

Unlike any other cameras that come in parcels, I immediately ripped apart the DHL box to check if they got the spelling right. Yeah … the name ‘FITZAND’ printed on the camera instead the name ‘COLETTE’ on this yet to be launched Colette special edition Diana F+ camera. Phew … luckily they got it spelled right!

I let Fitzand play with it for a little while just now before he went to bed. Haha. He still doesn’t know that the letters FITZAND make up his name but he had fun playing with the shutter release.

Look at this image above. See my little ‘monkey’ photo on the box of the Colette camera? Hahaha! This stupid monkey shot somehow made it big time by not only being published in the book and exhibited in the Colette exhibition in Paris … it also made it onto the box of the camera! Monkey business is big business!

No detailed scan for now … since the book and camera has not been launched, so it’s just not that right to be posting scans of the contents online. Right? Oh ok … I admit … I don’t want you guys to be laughing at closer views of my photos and the crappy story I submitted. 😛 😛 😛 Okay … I know … I was just lucky 😛

As I was flipping through the book … I noticed a photo that looked pretty familiar. Aha! On the inside cover of the book, there was this ‘Lomo wall’ thingie and right in the middle of the page was a photo taken by my friend Jimmy (aka ymmij) of 8storeytree! It is a photo of his monkey girlfriend grinning like a … errr … nevermind. Hahaha! You’ll probably hear her scream in the comments of this entry soon.

I met up with some friends to pass them the Original Lensbaby they ordered today. It’s pretty tiring doing these mass order stuff and having to make sure everyone pays up and collect their order accordingly. Maybe I’ll never wanna do it again … ever. Duh! I also managed to find time to rush to the shop to grab a replacement set of earbuds to replace my lost ones today. I’ve been living with the original (crappy?) ones that came with my iPod for days. This Philips SHE9550 set is pretty good for the price, offering deep clean bass and comfort in use. I was eyeing some higher end ones but ended up with a budget set since I’ve allocated some of my budget for the SnowCat Diana F+ camera this month.

Better stop typing and try go get some sleep. Planning to bring Fitzand to the bird park tomorrow morning. 😀
