After being rather disappointed with Lomo’s instant backs for the Diana and LC-A+ (could be just me!) … I prayed hard that their new instant camera will be one that I’ll love. So few days ago … it landed on my desk and over the weekend I decided to take some photos of the unboxing process … featuring my usual partner in crime (aka little boss) Fitzand. He was happily helping me unbox it and you’ll probably see why … soon.
I was wondering why was there a pack of the color filters taped onto the top of the box until I realised that there is actually a pack included in the box already. The one taped to the top is just of different colors. Hmm … someone forgot to include them during packing? Hahaha!
The color filters which looks like those that comes with Diana cameras. Just pick your favourite color and slot it in front of the flash. Easy peasy! What bothered me was that I had to struggle to get the filters out from that plastic sleeve. Blame my fat fingers. Anyway I took them all out and stored them in a little box.
The ‘family. The Lomo Instant camera plus 3 attachment lenses (ie. fisheye, portrait and closeup). I forgot to snap pics of the strap that came with it. Well … I don’t really like it (the strap) anyway.
Loading of film pack is so easy that little boss knows how to do it. It also requires 4 AAA batteries to operate.
Ok … now you can see why Fitzand was so happy to help unbox it. He can finally make me burn more of the film that he bought some time ago.
Weekend was busy as usual but we managed to burn a pack of film. Tried out the multi exposure feature and it is real fun! The fisheye is one fun lens too. Did 2 test shots with the close up but screwed up the exposure. Must be my mistake. Gotta give it another go soon. Portrait lens? Yet to try it. Grrrr! I’ll find time to scan the test shots maybe tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned!
So far … I’m loving it!
