Decided to bring Fitzand to check out the Army Open House 2012 yesterday and as expected … a big crowd (that always scares me!) but still the little one had a good time.
Hmm … since when do they make the army boys pose with the visitors? I find it a little funny. 😛
There are two things I lack of … hair and patience. I’ve never bothered to join any long queue … be it for food or beer or any other stuff (except for banking and official matters). Yesterday at the Army Open House 2012 at the F1 Pit Building … somehow I didn’t say ‘no!’ when Fitzand wanted to have some fun at the obstacle course by Forest Adventure … and had to endure a 40 minutes wait in the queue.
Making sure he is tall enough …
Ready for the fun (and thrill)!
A little worried in the beginning. I made sure I stood far from him so he won’t ask me for help. 😛
I heard him laughing at this stage (above). He told me later … ‘the net thing is ticklish!’. Hmm ..
Focus … focus …
He can still spare me a smile …
Focus … focus … again …
Probably one of the tougher one and the little ones get some help from the staff below.
Rare to see him so serious. Hahahah!
The final stage and … mission completion!
Unfortunately it was already closing time by the time he finished the obstacle course and he didn’t get to go on those inflateable playground thingie. He was upset but I promised to bring him to one soon. We were busy with other stuffs earlier in the day … else he could have had much more fun. 🙁
As for the obstacle course … he enjoyed it lots and there is no doubt we’ll be bringing him for more adventure at the Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir soon.
He had a good time checking out some of the exhibits and enjoyed a fireworks performance though.
While we cleverly planted his mommy in the waiting queue for the obstacle course, we loitered around and had some fun. Fitzand suddenly started to ‘move it’ when they played some dance numbers. 😀 Here’s a super duper ultra short video of him ‘in action’ …
Somehow I still can’t quite figure out how to get the camera (X-Pro1) to focus during video shooting. It is the same when I am using my DSLR … the focus seem to go crazy after a while even if the subject is still in the same distance. Time to go read up and experiment … or just stick to the simple handycam. 😀
All the photos from yesterday …
I think for videos you’ll have to MF to get best results. Same thing happened to me when I reviewed the Xpro1.
@Shawn : I guess MF is the only way to go. 🙁 Gotta go train my fuzzy eyeballs to MF better then. Hahaha! Thanks.
Fantastic to see your boy so obviously enjoying himself.
Makes me recall my kids at a similar age … but that was l-o-n-g ago and far away.
Thanks for sharing them

@Col : Hahaha! There will come a day when I’ll be saying just the same thing. 😀
