Fitzand Rocking It!

Fitzand finally switched to sleep mode after a long day and I can finally take a rest (behind my computer) and upload some photos I took today at his school’s Books & Music Week event. The kiddos has been spending lots of time rehearsing for this and today is the big day for them and of course the teachers. Perhaps after today … I do not need to listen to the song ‘Under the sea’ on repeat in my car (when Fitzand is around) and at home before he goes to bed. 😀

Happy Fitzand jamming with the girls!

If you are wondering why some (or rather … most) of these photos are in square format … it is because sitting on the 2nd row … I could only shoot between the heads of people in front of me. Of course I didn’t wanna be a pain to the official photographer and start moving around just for photos. 😀 Luckily I had my 77mm lens with me and thus able to capture some snapshots of Fitzand in action. Lighting was a big challenge and thus pumping up the ISO was the only way out because I hate using flash.

Now Fitzand might think going for national service is this fun. 😀

“We asked for reinforcement and they sent us this??!!”

My favourite performance of the day … the junior version of STOMP. 😀

Now I just need to pray that Fitzand won’t ask me for the yellow drum kit he asked me for about a year ago. 😀 Not a toy drum kit … but one for the junior drummers. I don’t wanna get kicked outta the neighborhood just yet. Perhaps … in a couple of years time I will just fulfill his dream as a drummer boy.

The teachers did an awesome job preparing the kiddos for the performances. I was really impressed!

… and some post performance photos taken with the X100 set at ISO 1600 (I forgot to switch to a lower one!)

He forgot that the performances were over and still tried to be dramatic. *sweat*

When I said that I’ll get him Ben & Jerry’s when we leave.

We came home a little late and thus I couldn’t make it to set up my photos and stuffs for my ‘Unmasking Negativity‘ exhibition which starts this coming Monday. A big thanks to those guys at ThirtySix for helping me settle it. I owe you guys coffee (and beer for Jim).
