My poor Spinner 360 cammie has yet to churn out her first roll and the weekend came and went (again). There were just too many things to do and too little time left. It was Father’s Day yesterday but to me … it was just another Sunday … with almost all the time spent playing with my little Energizer lithium ion powered kiddo. 😀

When I was putting on the new ‘skin’ for my SX-70 the other day, I realised that I’ve got a pack of new film and also a couple of leftover shots in the camera. So while Fitzand was taking his super short nap, I managed to cure my itchy fingers by burning up all the shots available. A couple of them were taken with him .. and I let him press the shutter button to ermmm … entertain him. He insist on taking a self portrait and ermm … well you’ll see the result below. The pack of film was expired I think a year ago.

I thought I’ve gotten over the Polaroid poison but now I think there is … just … ermm … a little … itch … to get some film soon. Argh! It’s darn expensive! Dammit!

All these were taken with the SX-70 close up filter and lighting was done using an el-cheapo LED video light. 😀

I thought I could get a little more sleep on Sunday morning but too bad my alarm clock (aka Fitzand) woke me up around 7:30am. Gosh! He dragged me outta the house for some fun with the ball at the park. Not sure if he was inspired by the World Cup match we saw (for a little while) when we were out for dinner and drinks with friends yesterday.

Since we are at that topic … here are some snapshots of some yummies we had …

It was fun meeting some online friends I knew thru a parenting forum and the three pretty mommies had a great time cam-whoring and falling in love with the Olympus E-PL1. Muwahahhaa! Poisoned! This is the only shot I took of them and the rest were all taken by themselves (of each other).

Thank God my wife was around … or else she’ll be asking me questions when I was editing the photos of them just now. 😛

MINI DOES A KITTY

Oh I stumbled upon this link by a friend in Facebook a while ago … about this cute Hello Kitty version of the Diana Mini. Cute eh? Hahaha! No … I ain’t buying one. I will consider getting it if I have a daughter but maybe now I’ll wait for ermm … Bob The Builder version? 😀 Using it myself will be a big no no! Let’s try saying this real fast … ‘Crazy freaky oldie with a cutie Kitty Diana Mini!’. Hmm.

I think this entry is a little to messy eh? LOL! I’m too lazy to create a few blog entries and thus trying to pack ’em all here. Let’s end this with a little ‘present’ I bought for myself today. Finally I took the plunge and got myself a Blu-ray player … all because of the U2’s new concert video. I thought it will look great on Blu-ray and thus … finally the ‘upgrade’ was necessary. Picked up the Eminem’s concert video as well as the original Broadway cast recording of Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’. I’ve only managed to watch bits and pieces of both the videos and they are awesome! I wish I have enough stamina to last thru the night and watch both of them but perhaps my old body is telling me I need to take a break. I’ll put on my headphones and listen to the ‘American Idiot’ CD instead. I was a little skeptical at first … having to listen to Green Day’s songs … performed by the musical cast. After a few tracks … I suddenly realised that I was wrong and the songs seem to have been given a different ‘feel’ in the musical. Wish the musical can be on DVD/Blu-ray too. 😀

  7. @peony : The Hello Kitty Diana Mini is out already but only (as far as I know) available in the Korean store. You can order it through Gmarket.com … just go to their English page (on the Korean site) and search for ‘Kitty Diana Mini’. You can see it there already.   15. @qianyii : It isn’t hard to order from Gmarket. They’ll help you get from Lomo Korea and then ship it to you. Of course you’ll pay for shipping and a bit of fees. From the website, it seems that the fees is waived if you buy 2 units of them Kitties 😀

    @peony : Hahaha! You must be joking. I really don’t have many types of polaroid film. I stopped using Polaroid since they stopped production (before that I used the usual 600 film only) and it is only until now my first 1 and a half pack of Artistic Z film is put to use. They were given to me by the seller (of the SX-70 cam) when I bought it some time ago.

  41. @LXT : Hmm. I can’t recall how much I bought it. Sorry. No … I didn’t see any SX-70 at ThirtySix. Maybe you can give them a call and see if they have any source for one.
