Finally I have a bit of time to sit down and update my blog after a very busy weekend. I was recovering from a (bad!) hangover this morning and thank God after some many litres of fruit juice … I’m okay now. This entry is gonna be quite long because I’m trying to squeeze all the stuffs (and photos) into just one entry. 😛
It must be because I’m old and outdated … little did I know that kiddo shoes now come with built-in racing cars. Yeah! Cars inside! Hahaha! I was washing Fitzand’s shoes during the weekend and out of curiosity … I pulled up the tabs (see photo below) that has the word ‘PULL’ pointing to them. For a few seconds I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw little racing cars hidden in the sole! Cool! Why would they plant the cars there … I don’t know. I am damn sure it ain’t part of the design (of the shoe) but I am also very sure it ain’t suppose to be kept in there for the kids to pull out and play. Eeeew! Anyway … I washed it thoroughly and gave the little cars to Fitzand. He ain’t interested in them because they look too boring. 😀
After the cooking class at the childcare on Saturday morning, we went shopping and ended up at Clarke Quay for a late lunch. We were not hungry and so we had a quick bite at Cafe Iguana. Beer and nachos! They serve my favourite nachos and it has been a long long while since my last visit there.
Here are some snapshots of Fitzand while we were there …
Since I had my LC-A+ and the instant back for it that I installed recently … I did some test shots with it, since I had my little model to ‘pose’ for me. The one condition we agreed on (for him to pose for me) was to let him press the eject button after every shot. I had to be extra careful that the doesn’t press it multiple times … or my pack of film will head straight to the bin in minutes.
This is his new ‘pose’ that he learned from watching the monsters from Monster Inc.
He loves to make funny faces when I point my camera at him. It shouldn’t be this dark (the phot0)! I’m begining to wonder what is going wrong with my cam. 🙁
WTH? I think the metering on my LC-A+ is screwed! I remember the lighting was pretty okay when I took this shot (above) but why on earth did it end up so dark??!!! Damn!!!
I think the next time I load a pack of film into the instant back … I’ll try use ISO100 setting on the LC-A+. At least that will give me better and brighter exposure (hopefully!).
Here’s another instant one but taken at those passport photo booth. Fitzand now knows what those booths are for and will pester me to let him go take some photos of himself. Arghh!! $$$$$$!!!!
Some friends came over for dinner last night and I decided to prepare some yummies for them …
Cheesy pizza with hamburger patties as topping! I didn’t know how it will taste like in the end … but like photography itself … I like to experiment (since I have lab rats coming over!).
Fish fingers! The only ‘non experimental’ food that night.
The most experimental ones that night were these … SPAM meat wrapped with spring roll skins! I wanted to use corned beef but decided not to in the end because it might be a little too salty. These wraps were crunchy outside and soft and yummy in the inside. It was wiped out real fast and even little Fitzand loves them! Yay!
We had some beer … followed by half a bottle of Tennessee whiskey and … closed the case with some Chivas Royal Salute. After the friends left … I was left struggling to stay awake to do the dishes and clean up before rushing to get some sleep. This morning I woke up feeling like hell (as usual after too much booze) but still managed to crawl to work. Next time I promise to just stick to beer only. 🙁
Saw someone selling a pocketable HD camcorder for a very reasonable price and I picked it up from him last night. It is a Kodak Zi8. It has the ability to record 1080p full-HD video, digital image stabilization, and a microphone-in jack that lets you use standard headphones or earbuds as an external mic! Cool! All those in this little gadget and now I can take more video clips of Fitzand in HD (I don’t want him to start asking why all videos of him are blurry … taken with the Harinezumi). Maybe I’ll go grab a 32GB SDHC card to use on this.
Fitz is good at posing, no doubt! =)
Is that like father like son? hehe…
@Beam : Don’t push your luck too far or I’ll post some photos of myself posing like a model and scare everyone away.
I’ll try the spam recipe!
BTW, try this: http://chubbyhubby.net/blog/?p=579
@cyanwater : Yeah … the SPAM thingie is yummy. Hehehe! Do note that it is ‘spam’ and not ‘sperm’. Ok?
@cyanwater : Oh spam fries? Yeah … like those luncheon meat sticks … they never fail to amaze.
Shocked! 😮 that does sound scary.
(but it may turn out to be interesting with Fitz as the photographer…)
hey Ndroo. I think you’re not alone. My shots on a sunny/outdoor with LCA instant back turns dark, too. 🙁
I wonder what is wrong with it. My indoor shots look great, though
@ethermoon : Hmm. I’m just about to post few more test shots today and I now 100% agree with you. Strange. Few shots I took outdoors in the sun (hot!) turned out super dark and those I were worried about (indoors) turned out fine. But then indoor ones I did doubles … so it is hard to say. 🙁 Crazy back!
