The LC-A book!

Oh what a way to start my day! Woke up this morning to receive an email from Lomography, indicating that I’ve been given 100 piggies (US Dollars) in their web store … to purchase the new cool Lomo LC-A book! That’s because some of those photos I submitted some time ago (I can’t remember when or which photos) were accepted and are printed in that book. Yay! I still have to pay US$50 to get the book shipped here though.

Read more about the book here. I think it’s a pretty huge book, weighing 3kg+ (if I remember correctly). Can’t wait to receive it soon.

“Over 664 pages you are taken on an awe-inspiring visual and historical journey following the fascinating fortunes of the LC-A compact camera. Discover the LOMO LC-A’s ancestry, the long struggle to keep its original Russian production going and ultimately how the camera was reborn as the LOMO LC-A+ in China. The LOMO LC-A book is an all-encompassing homage to possibly the most characteristic and inquisitive analogue camera on the planet.”

  1. BBB!

I can’t remember what I’ve submitted too! But I’m quite sure I didn’t submit many. 2006… Whatever! Just buy!

  2. Hahaha! Yeah of course buy, since the $100 is free. Oh, I love the spirit of ‘whatever, just buy’. So I’m sure you’ll be applying the same spirit to the MoMA, the Scarecrow and the Paul Smith FE2? 😛

  3. I got this book free as well, and while it is a great book.. its huge! Takes up too much space on the desk, so maybe it will move to the coffee table.. all I wanted was a new LCA+ RL, and I had to get the book, some film, another little book.. the box they shipped was over 16 Pounds! (7+ Kilos!)
