I woke up feeling a little sad … thinking that today is Sunday! Phew! Yesterday was a public holiday and that was the reason why I woke up in cold sweat. It is not that I hate Sundays but they are always a bit too close to blue Mondays.
Recently … despite the slight drizzle sometimes … the weather is pretty good. A friend buzzed me to join him for a short walk in the park to test out an Infrared converted camera and I rushed there … without my camera!!! Fortunately he let me play with his camera for a while and I got to cure my itchy fingers for an hour or so. It has been quite a while since I’ve shot digital infrared photos and it was really fun … especially when we had a pint of draft stout after the short walk. 😀
I ain’t really a ‘landscape person’ but I still love doing some of these once in a while. It does make me wish I can go on vacation now but there are just some unfinished stuffs I have to settle before flying off somewhere maybe early 2010. Looking forward to a week off sometime early December. Bringing my family to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia … to attend a good old friend’s wedding, visit my brother, eat all my favourite food and meet some guys to discuss some more important stuffs.
Today … a trip to the beach was cancelled last minute because Fitzand took his nap a little late this afternoon. We ended up with some friends at Fiesta Brasilias to slap some slabs of meat to our waists and washed ’em down with some beer. It was quite a funny sight everytime they came to serve us (more) meat. Fitzand will stare with his mouth open at the big knives they used to serve us slices (and chunks) of yummy meat. Hahaha. I’m feeling super duper full now and don’t know if I can sleep tonight. Argghhh!!
cool which camera was it?
@Mijonju : It’s an old Canon 300D that was converted to an IR only cam.
Cooool!! Amazing IR !! Have u try using IR film? I tried ilford sfx 200 (faked?) with my holga135.. its BW .. lots of trial/error 😛 but its was fun especially when my trees are snowy white!!
@lawry : Thanks. I’ve not tried IR film. Where did you get them developed?
ilford sfx200 can be developed just like black white film 🙂 fotohub at beach road does developed true IR film 🙂
@lawry : That sounds fun. Will try it out when I have the time.
