Some of you might remember that I recently blogged about this camera that some call ‘the digital Holga’. There wasn’t any sample photos or details about the kind of photo it produces, so I guess most of the interest were kept in the ‘let’s just wait for some reviews’ department.
A friend just sent me this link that has a short video review as well as some sample photos taken with this retro looking digital camera. So how does it (not) perform? Check this video out …
Interesting?
Here’s the link to ‘A first look at the Yashica EZ F521‘ for a pretty interesting review.
What got me kinda interested (ahem!) was the reviewer’s remark that ‘Since the lens is screwed onto the body from the front, there might be some hacking potential by replacing the lens with something else, if you are so inclined.’
If it is available here for a affordable price, I might just pick one up for some fun experiment by trying to replace the lens … with maybe a Diana lens? A Holga lens? LC-A? Hmm … Fisheye? Hmm. Damn.
i was about to make the same video.. but it seems like he did it before i did hahah 😀
hahah now i can save some money 😀
@mijonju : So you got the cam already? You can send it to me if you want … I’ll help you make the video. Muwahahaha!
where’s the “lomo effects”?
@cyanwater : Do it in Photoshop lor. LOL!!!
Haha…someone is tempted!
@Jer : the possibility to mod it does sound tempting but this will have to wait. lol. There r other stuffs to consider at the mo’
I’m having one…Can’t wait to have a hand on it.
Apparently You can unscrew the lens and…perhaps replace it with well..may be a Holga lens or some such.
