Japan + Singapore = Chaos

It really took me way too long to finish this roll of Sensia 100 that was sent to me all the way from Japan. It was for a doubles collaboration with Michel Jones (mijonju) but life has been so busy that I neglected it. Haha. To be honest … I’ve yet to even send him my rolls! Argh! Anyway … back to this roll. It was only after I received it that we realised that he forgot to mark on the film on where the first frame is. Uh oh! So chaos was expected, with frames all sticking and overlapping … but sometimes such chaos will turn out to be pretty fun.

I ended up scanning most of then as ‘pano’ format … since I couldn’t decide where to ‘chop’ up the frames and the other reason being … I love the long pano strip of messy stuffs. Hahaha.

Mijonju … I’ll try make sure I mark the begining of the first frame in the rolls I am sending you. Tell your wife that at least the shots with her in it doesn’t seem too messy. 😀 Overall … I love these despite some of the frames I couldn’t figure out what I shot.

I actually took a shot of a building in this … but the exposure seems a little too ‘weak’ and the building ended up looking like some lines and patterns. Hahaha. Maybe I shouldn’t have set my cam to ISO200 for these.

Wish I can find more time to do more doubles collabs with more friends. After this collab, I still have another one to do with a friend in Paris. How I wish weekends were much longer.

  1. Hi ndroo,

How did you guys shoot night scenes with a ISO100 film? Why are they so sharp, and i love the zebra crossing for some reason.

  2. great 😀 haha i can i have the hi quality scans?
haha that girl in my side of the exposure is my wife

  3. @everyone : Thanks. Glad you like these. I was dead worried when I collected the roll from the lab. The uncle at the lab was giving me that ‘WTF did you shoot?’ look. 😀

@mijonju : Oh yeah … I know that’s your pretty wife. Saw her face in many of your photos in flickr. 😀 Thanks for making me the leather case and also helping me buy the kendama. Can’t wait to play with it. I’ll send you the large files tonight. 😉

@QiaoZhi : I ain’t sure about those night/low light shots that mijonju took … but for mine … I usually try rest against something like wall to prevent too major handshake. Old hands are pretty shaky you know? 😀

You mean “The uncle at the lab was giving me that ‘WTF did you shoot AGAIN?’ look”. buwahahah!

  5. @witchy : Actually he was asking the guy (aka doublechin) beside me if HE shot these. Muwahahaha. Then doublechin (being the pro) proudly told the uncle ‘I don’t shoot like that!’. Muwahahaha! That’s why he’s the pro and I’m the clown.

  6. who ever is the uncle…. hahahahah must be traumatize every time he see u…

  7. no wonder he look traumatize every time i mention ndroo…. bwahhaha (joking)

  8. Hi ndroo, how do you scan the pictures in whatever size you want?
When i scan them into photoshop it crops them automatically!?
    Thanks

  9. @Joe : I am using Silverfast to scan them. It allows me to drag the size of the frames I am scanning. I resize them in Photoshop later to make sure they are all of the same size.

@Solace : Thanks. Yeah … that’s your infamous Coke! LOL
