I paused for a long while after watching this video someone sent me. Just moments ago, I walked out from Toys ‘R’ Us with a bag of new toys for Fitzand and now … I’m watching these children struggling to stay alive. I felt like a bomb. I felt really sad. I wondered how many more children like them are suffering out there. It is always good to have people filming such videos to not only raise awareness, but also to remind the rest of us that we are already way more fortunate than many … and we should all reach out to help those in need.
Those people who shot this video updated the YouTube comments …
The film I made about Uganda, THE FRAGRANT SPIRIT OF LIFE, has already raised about $50,000 for orphans in Uganda.
Sam, Esther and Jane are all doing well. Sam and Esther have been nutritionally rehabilitated and are receiving on-going therapy for their polo. Sam can stand with the aid of braces. Jane is going to school and is thriving.
Thanks for your concern.
Peace and blessings,

I salute these amazing people who go all the way out to help those in suffering. May God bless them. I know some of us will go ‘God help them!’ when we see such videos/photos … but really … please don’t expect God to help them. It is us … the human who should be helping them. Think about it.
Just look at all those hungry mouths we have to feed
Take a look at all the suffering we breed
So many lonely faces scattered all around
Searching for what they need
Is this the world we created?
What did we do it for?
Is this the world we invaded
Against the law?
So it seems in the end
Is this what were all living for today?
The world that we created
You know that every day a helpless child is born
Who needs some loving care inside a happy home
Somewhere a wealthy man is sitting on his throne
Waiting for life to go by
Is this the world we created?
We made it on our own
Is this the world we devastated
Right to the bone?
If theres a God in the sky looking down
What can he think of what weve done
To the world that he created?
from the song ‘Is this the world we created’, written by Freddie Mercury & Brian May
