I know this entry is a little too late but anyway … Happy Birthday Singapore! Here in Singapore, we celebrate the National Day on the 9th of August … and last Friday, we attended a short National Day celebration at Fitzand’s childcare centre. Many parents turned up and every one of us brought some yummies for the kiddos. The kiddos had been practicing very hard for this special day, with every one of them participating in some singing & dancing activities.
Honestly … we were a little worried that our ‘Energizer bunny’ Fitzand will ‘run amok’ and not want to perform when he sees us at the childcare … but we were wrong. We were terribly wrong! He was one of the more ‘serious performers’ there instead! Check out the video and you’ll see for yourselves. Hahaha. There were some of his friends who were just loitering around instead of performing instead. Hahaha! The teachers must have had a hard time controlling the chaos. Oh … and do check out the occasional special appearance of a ‘zebra’. Hahahhaa!
It took me hell trying to piece these very short video clips taken with my digital cam together and finally … here it is … Fitzand’s live performances …
This video always make me smile. Did you notice the little funny things he did? For example, he suddenly showed the peace sign with his fingers when they sang the word ‘harmony’ and how loud his ‘ROAR!’ was in some parts of the singing. Hahaha! There was even a part when he pushed away a friend who was kinda irritating him while he was concentrating on performing. You might also notice a little section where the camera was shaking like there was an earthquake. Hahaha. That was because I was laughing (in silence!) too hard.
As usual, Fitzand loves ‘remixing’ the words of the songs and after the celebration … he made me laugh really hard when he sang the line ‘This is my future, this is my life’ as ‘This is my future, this is my LUNCH!’ … and he started laughing. Hahaha. He must have loved the ice cream and yummies they had for lunch!
Face-stuffing time after the performances …
We had lots of fun watching the kids perform and are definitely looking forward to the next one. It is quite a contrast … comparing Fitzand singing these songs and those ‘performances’ he does at home like the recent Jingle Bells video (check it out here).
wah pro
LOL… so serious… whahah….
wow your son is really calm and wise looking.. he stands out in the crowd really..
everyone is really like a kid crying and whining.. but your kid is so understanding and calm!
must be good education from his father 😀
@peter : Pro performer? I’m damn sure you can’t be saying it’s a pro video. Hahaha!
@norya : Yeah … he was so serious in his performance that I was kinda shocked for the first few minutes.
@mijonju : Hahaha. Yeah he was really cool! Not saying that because he’s my boy but you can see how calm he is. Hahaha! Don’t think his father taught him this … because his father will be crying in fright if he has to dance in front of so many people. Hahaha!
