How time flies! It’s already the first of June and half a year has almost zapped past. It’s Monday and it feels like crap (again). Had a pretty super busy weekend and guess I had way too much beer. I had beer on last Friday night, Saturday late noon, Saturday night, yesterday noon (although just 1 pint) and yesterday night! Madness! Thank God I didn’t drink too many on each ocassion and no hangover to spoil my weekend.
Saturday was crazy. Brought my family out for breakfast a Delifrance and then spent a couple of hours on Saturday modifying my Canon G6 into an infrared camera. Then I rushed down to an Irish pub near Suntec for a short beer session and then back home to fetch my family to join some friends for dinner (and beer again!). I was wondering how I could continue modifying the G6 late at night after all those beer. Hahaha. It was a riskly ‘operation’ messing with those tiny screws, springs and parts … but I managed to do it!
Yesterday we went for breakfast and then brought Fitzand to get some new books. He has ‘outgrown’ all the nursery rhyme books at home and we thought some new ones might keep him busy sometimes. Lurked around the bookshop for a while but didn’t manage to find any that seems interesting. Suddenly I saw this little book on the floor (perhaps someone dropped it) and went ‘WHOA!!!!’. It is a little Lion King book and Fitzand loves baby Simba and all these characters in it! When he saw it, he kept saying ‘HAKUNA MATATA!!!’. Hahaha. He calls the baby lion that name because of the song of the same title. So of course we bought that book and also another one for him.
Lurking inside a toy store and again he ended up having a new toy. It’s a pretty cool torch light. It comes in the form of a bear and when you press the handle, the mouth opens … it ‘roars’ … and then the light comes on. He was busy shining at every object in his room that evening. Fitzand was down with diarrohea for the last two days and we were glad he was okay yesterday. We had to postpone a hi-tea buffet session with friends because Fitzand will definitely be upset he won’t get to eat those yummies.
Can’t wait for next weekend when we plan to bring Fitzand to Sentosa and also a hi-tea session with friends. It’s Monday … and the next weekend seems so far far far away … 🙁 I’m also pretty excited about joining some friends for a chalet session soon but perhaps that will have to wait til after my short (I hate it) trip to Vietnam in mid June. Haiks!
that torch is really cute…. whahahha
I’ve had to deal quite a bit with an elephant light just like that one 2 semesters ago in my painting class. Painted it many a times.
@norya : Yeah. Cute little thingie. He took a while to decide on the bear one. There were two other versions … an elephant and a hippo. Haha. I can’t possibly buy all 3, so I made him choose one.
@Glenn : That’s sounds cool! Any photo of the painted elephant one? Would love to see it.
