Yesterday was a day of hellos and goodbyes. I traded two of my cameras for smaller compact ones. First it was my Canon G7 with a Ricoh GX100, as I somehow prefer a more compact digital that fits in my pocket. Since I used to own a GRD, using the GX100 for the first time wasn’t too difficult. I love the 24mm wide lens but still the ISO performance was a disappointment for anything ISO400 and above. Well I guess I’ve to go out in the sun more often then.
Next to go was the Fujifilm GA645wi. This medium format wide monster is one that took me quite a while to consider letting it go. Firstly, I hardly shoot 120 film except on toy cameras. Then came the size … it’s way too big to lug around (at least for me). So I traded it with a compact Leica CM Zoom which I wanted to compliment the 28mm wide lens on my Fujifilm Klasse W.
Can’t wait to give these cams some exercise during the weekend! 😀
