I realise that I am always creating new blog entries on Sunday nights and also I seem to have created one too many entries in the last few days. Hmm. Anyway … as usual … a ‘summary’ of what I did and what I wished I did this (almost over) weekend.
It has been a while since I brought Fitzand to the playground near our block, so yesterday morning we made a short visit there. The weather recently has been super duper hot, so we didn’t stay too long there. As a consolation, he got to visit the park in the evening for some fun with a ball. I’ll write a bit about a ‘new stunt’ he learned at the park later.
How time flies! I remember it was just like yesterday that I had to carry Fitzand and climb up the stairs before he can go ‘weeeeeeee!!!’ down the slide … and now … he can climb up by himself (with me on the standby in case he falls). I remember those crazy days when I had to climb up and down with like 10kg in my arms (and another few tens of kgs around my waist … 😛 ).
He was pretty careful the last few times when playing on the slide but now … he loves doing the “look ma’ … no hands!” action.
A ‘portrait’ when he was taking a break. I’m loving the Fujifilm FX200 camera more each day! That compact follows me almost everywhere I go now.
We went for a short shopping trip and Fitzand got to have fun on some kiddy rides (aka money eating machines). Ok … about the ‘new stunt’ I mentioned earlier … Fitzand was playing with his ball at the park and suddenly … he squeezed the ball between his legs and wanted me to carry him. Guess what … he wanted me to carry him and spin him around with the ball squeeze between his legs! Hahaha! It was hell funny and of course hell tiring. After spinning him round and round for few minutes … I felt so dizzy like I’ve just gulped 5 pints of beer! This ‘stunt’ was performed maybe 5 to 10 times before I gave up and we headed for dinner. Maybe next time I’ll try get my wife to shoot a video of the ‘stunt’.
The above two photos were random shots I took yesterday with the compact. The crazy sunny weather at least is good when it comes to lighting. The photo at the bottom is titled “Where Jill Came Rolling After”. Why? I’m not telling!
At night, I finished writing a review for a yet-to-be-launched book on Lensbaby. At first when I was invited to write the review … I thought it will be just another photo book with photos taken by a Lensbaby. I was wrong. I think it is a good book for anyone who is interested in learning photography with a Lensbaby. Writing the review was easier than I thought … maybe because I’ve been messing around with the Lensbaby for quite a while already.
Guess I won’t be writing anything about today, since I’ve mentioned about shooting for the World Pinhole Photography Day in another entry … and apart from that … I did nothing much except playing with Fitzand, slacking at home and a short beer session with a friend during late noon. Oh … I forgot to mention that a roll from a work-in-progress camera modification ended up in the rubbish bin. Duh! Back to the drawing board. I’ll reveal what I am working on later. If I can ever succeed in getting the modification done (correctly) … I’ll be one (darn) happy fella.
What mod?? What Mod???? Damn! I’m curious… tell pls?
@irorus : Hahaha! Curious eh? I’ll keep it a secret for the moment until I can see (a little) sign of success. Else it will be just vapourware. Haha!
