Acohojante?

Lomography has just launched the Diana+ El Toro Edition to commemorate the Diana+ World Tour in Spain. Take a look at the photos of the camera …

I somehow find that Lomography has either run out of ideas for more unique designs or they are just taking a shortcut to churn out more Diana clones. If you take a look at the Snowcat (cute!) edition … it looks like they’ve just replaced the ‘skin’ and also the front plate on the lens barrel … and gave it a different name. The rest of the camera is still the same black one.

The Korean world tour ‘Snowcat’ edition

The back of the El Toro edition. I kinda like the bull the though.

I remember complaining that the Tokyo world tour edition wasn’t that impressive … but now I eat my words. This Spain world tour edition is even worse. To me … it’s more like ‘okay lets wrap it up with a different skin and launch a new product’. I am sure those creative guys in Lomography can do better than this. Hope the next world tour edition shows some improvement in the design.

From their store info, it says “Film advance wheel has a special detail – “acohojante” (oder so) – a Spanish expression meaning “this is fantastic!””. Fantastic? I am not too sure about that. Will I buy this? I’m not sure. I have some piggies (store credits) in their store but I’ve to decide if I wanna order this Bovril edition.
