The last time Fitzand visited Disneyland was over a year ago when he was 11 months old. He couldn’t really have too much fun back then as he was too young to understand most things. One thing I can remember is that he enjoyed the fun and cool boat ride at the ‘Small World Fantasyland’ as I saw the smile on his face looking at those cute characters and of course the catchy “It’s a small world” song.
Now at 2 years old, we decided to bring him to Disneyland again but this time the one in Hong Kong. Would love to be at the one in Tokyo again but with the exchange rate now … Hong Kong would be a better option. Weeks before the trip, I told him we were going to Disneyland to visit Mickey and friends … and I could see Fitzand being very excited about it. We flew to Hong Kong and spent 2 nights in Disneyland Hotel and Fitzand got to play big time in Disneyland for 2 days straight. Yeah … 2 days! My arms, legs and back were almost jelly-like every evening. Haha. But then … there is nothing a few pints of beer can’t fix. 😀
I took quite many photos of Fitzand during this trip, thanks to the compact and handy Fujifilm F200EXR. It performs great! A DSLR will be way too clumsy to lug around while carrying and running with Fitzand.
After spending 7 days in Hong Kong, almost every minute with Fitzand … I felt a bit sad when it all came to an end. I bet he felt the same too because he cried when we left him at the childcare the next morning. Oh well … just like the first few days when we left him there … I had to tell myself to be strong and head on to work without feeling to bad. I need a permanent vacation!
All packed up and ready to go!
Fitzand hates the wait
Arrived! Hey … more waiting? Duh!
Arrival at the Disneyland Hotel. Checking out cartoons while mommy goes check-in
Darn it! I think someone stole the remote control!
Disney fun will only start the next day, so it’s dinner time! Fitzand gets a slice of yummy cake!
Fitzand was eyeing these yummy chicken wings but he reached for the chips first …
Surprisingly … the chicken curry with naan was great!
Finally Fitzand went for the wings!
After dinner, it was time for some running in the garden …
and guess who Fitzand met in a cafe beside the garden?
… and soon it was bedtime
The next day …
Waking up early and can’t wait to go out to play
Chillin out while waiting for mommy to pack some clothes and milk powder before heading down to Disney
Finally!!! Okay, a photo in front of the entrance is a must eh?
First problem : Choose a balloon. Fitzand had a hard time picking one. Haha!
… and finally the grand decision was made
It was Fitzand’s first taste of popcorn!
Messing with water when he thought we were not looking! Haha!
The first out of many other rides on the carousel. Ride, cowboy ride!
… and this cup goes spinnin around~
Okay … break time and it’s munchin time again …
… and of course the need to top his energy drink
… another photo with mommy
and it’s errmmm … munchin time again. Candies!!!
Hot dog!!! Sausages!!! Munchin time (again?)
BURRRRRPPP!!!!!
After all the munchin … Fitzand was ready to rock and he started doing this magic trick …
… called “Look ma’ … no sleeve!”
The eyes of a child, so innocent and pure
A child’s heart is full of songs
Take a tiny hand and leap into the light
As adults we see pain in the world
And it sometimes don’t seem right
Through the eyes of a child, the world seems magical
There’s a sparkle in their eyes, we’ve yet to realize
The darkness in their soul
The beauty of their smile, adventurous and wild
Life is kind of gay, but it doesn’t seem that way
Through the eyes of a child
from the song ‘Eyes of a child’ by Michael McDonald (South Park : Bigger, Longer & Uncut Soundtrack)
Part 2 of this series will follow soon … maybe tomorrow. Anyway … here’s a teaser … 😀 There are perhaps one too many photos and I can’t possibly post them all here. Will add a new album in Fitzand’s Photo Story section soon after I finish going through all of them.
Lucky boy! Cute!
Your “Boss” really had fun!
Hi,
We also went to Hong Kong 2 months ago. It’s such a great place. Nice blog and stories by the way. You can also visit my HK chronicles of my trip at LivingTogetherBlog
Thanks,
Thea
@Thea : Thanks. Checked out your webbie. Very cool info on your travels. Will drop by often.
@cyanwater : Thanks
@doublechin : Yeah … my ‘boss’ really made full use of the fun opportunities and also his ’employee’ 😀
he is so cute… and he looks like he had all the fun in the world…. last pic… sexy!!!
@norya : Thanks, Noreen. Are you okay already? Hope you recover soon and can make it to the beach tomorrow. 😉
He’s super cute!
I also want go Disneyland. 🙁
Hahaha. Yeah … I wanna go Disney again too!
HAHA OMG HE took off his sleeve! i thot he was only gonna hide his arm in his shirt or sth. Fitzand is way cute! and he eats an awful lot doesn he!!
subwayshocker , thanks. Haha. Yeah, he loves to munch but he doesn’t really eat all of them everytime. Sometimes a few bites and I’ll have to finish the rest. Hmm. Oh well … that explains my size.
He’s growing up so fast! Super cute.. looks like you guys had a great time.. just one question- where can I get one of those hats in an Adult size for myself??
@Nic : Yeah, it’s great seeing him grow. It’s pretty hectic but I’m loving every moment. I am not sure if they have larges sizes but I’ve seen some slightly bigger hats in Disney. Haha. Btw, congrats on your new onling store. I’m trying not to visit it too often … in case I fall in love with some of the toys there. 😛
