Weekends have never been this hectic but I’m enjoying every moment of it. Spent almost the whole of last weekend with Fitzand and bought him two new ‘toys’. The first was a bicycle. We rented one for him to try last week and he seems to love it lots eventhough he can’t cycle yet. So my old body was put to the test again by having to bend and push him all around the park for half an hour or perhaps an hour. He will sometimes go ‘daddy … push fast fast!’. Arggggh!
This bike weighs a ton! I’ve no choice but to drive to the park nearby because I will be pretty dead if I were to carry the bike & Fitzand cross the overhead bridge to reach the park. Luckily I remembered to add a bell and a blinking LED light to the bike. He loves going around ringing the bell at the cats, dogs and kids around the park. I also ‘customized’ it by replacing the sticker on the front with his favourite Madagascar characters. He’ll sometime wanna get down from the bike, walk to the front and look at the animals … and starts singing ‘I like to move it, move it!’.
Saturday morning we went to the bank and there was a Cash Converter beside it. Fitzand saw a guitar on the window display and started ‘strumming’. Hahaha! It was a really funny sight! He has always been asking me to buy him a guitar when we pass those music schools but those are always way to big for him, and at 2 years old … he can’t really play one. So I walked into Cash Converter and was surprised to find some brand new acoustic guitars for sale! Those are really small ones and are suitable for Fitzand! Cool! They cost only S$15 each and Fitzand chose an orange one.
Walking out from the shop, he was holding the guitar like he knows how to play it for real. While he doesn’t know what the fret board is for, his right hand was strumming the guitar! Hahaha! All the way from the shop to the mall nearby, tons of people were looking at him and some started laughing at the funny sight.
He loves the guitar lots. I bought him some smiley stickers and he decorated the guitar that night. Then we’ll sit down together and he’ll hammer the strings like some metal band guitarist. Hahaha!
Oh … and not forgetting these few shots of him wearing his ‘chef hat’. The teachers at the childcare made it for him last Friday. He was happily wearing it when I went fetch him from the childcare. It was a really funny sight to see him wearing it while playing with the other kids. The muffin he was eating was also from the childcare. I think on certain days, they will make muffins and yummies for the kiddos.
… and also two Instax shots …
